Welcome from the Principal

I’m delighted to welcome you to the Gorton Mount Primary Academy website and introduce you to our school.

Gorton Mount Primary Academy is a proud member of the Bright Futures Educational Trust, a collaborative partnership of schools across the North West that aims to support children and provide them with real choices as they progress through their education.

2015/16 is a particularly exciting period for Gorton Mount as we look forward to becoming Rushbrook Primary Academy in spring 2016. The school will be moving to a brand new site in Gorton Educational Village, which will bring with it state of the art facilities for our pupils to enjoy.

While the school may be receiving a fresh new name and look, we remain committed to providing our pupils with an education that fosters hard work, integrity and a passion for learning.

Our teachers hold high expectations of our pupils, while celebrating their successes and encouraging them to explore their interests through opportunities outside of the curriculum. Children are treated with respect, care and as individuals to ensure they are able to grow and learn in a safe and enjoyable environment.

We know how you, as parents and carers value your relationship with the school and we aim to engage with you as often as possible to help shape your child’s future.
